Latex Fixation Test(RA Test) for in Sera of Sero-positive and -negative Group of Serologic Tests for Syphilis

Abstract

|
The latex fixation test was first described by Plotz and Singer(1956) and modified by Rheins, McCoy, Burell, and Buehler(1957), Rot´hermich and Philips(1957), and Craig et al. The latex fixation test was slightly modified and studied by authors on the 100 prostitutes´ sera (age;20-30, 50-positive and 50 negative serum of serologic tests for syphilis, see Table 1). Tl.e results obtained are rs follows.
1. Among 50-positive serum of serologic tests for syphilis; RA titers were 1:20 in 3 cases(6%),
and 1:40 in I case(2%).
2. Among 50-negative serum of serologic tests for syphilis;RA titers were 1:10 in 2 cases(4 %), 1:20 in 3 cases (6,°0), and 1:40 in 1 case(2%),
3. No different results of RA titers were observed between two groups of serologic tests for syphilis.
